How to put a marquee up on an uneven floor

But what happens when the ground of your site is uneven or slopped?

Marquee flooring

Marquee flooring can elevate your setting for a professional, classy, or elegant event, and can solve many problems with uneven flooring. 

Ruts and Dips

Natural surfaces such as grass can often have ruts and dips which can cause a tripping hazard, especially for guests in high heels. They also pose a challenge for a sit-down event as they make tables and chairs uneven and unstable. 

To solve this issue, your marquee installer can fill the ruts with sand or a similar material then cover with a hard floor. At Spuds Marquee Hire, we offer two flooring options:

• Wooden sheets – which can be covered with astro turf (fake grass), carpet, or left as they are.
• Pro flooring – plastic tiles that even the ground while protecting the grass underneath.

Marquee flooring makes things much more comfortable for your guests and makes it easier to have tables and chairs, sound systems, or other large furniture and equipment.

Slopes

If your chosen location is on a slope, flooring is necessary to level out your marquee.
